Singapore government allocates S$600m for skills upgrading



PLAN TO ENTER A NEW INDUSTRY OR BE YOUR OWN BOSS BY ACQUIRING A NEW SKILLS SET...

For the past months, BLEEK job market were beset by worries over the poor economy. Many expects it could turn worse with more losing jobs.

The government announcement to allocate S$600m for skills upgrading today has given workers a booster jab.....and outlook may not may be so bleek, after all...

Workers will get training and upgrading opportunities, and will also be helped to acquire new skills so they can get jobs in sectors less affected by the downturn.....such as service & tourism sectors.

Employers can enjoy higher course fee support for Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) or courses which are nationally certifiable courses. Looking ahead, things are much more rosy with big events such as the opening of the two Integrated Resorts in a few years on the calendar. Hence, individuals should continue to acquire new skills so that one can capitalise on the growth opportunities later.

Moving From Strength To Strength




SingTrain Academy celebrates our New Facility for SPA, Beauty & Face Training on 09 Novemeber 2008....

The opening of an additional facility sees a consolidation of our training under one roof at Tanjong Pagar. The new unit now houses training for CIBTAC, WSQ and NSRS Beauty related courses. To commemorate the auspicious move-in, we call for a simple celebration filled with lots of fun with our CIBTAC trainees who were attending training on 09 November!

DIY HERBAL BALL FOR PAIN RELIEVE



This herbal therapy was designed to relieve pain and inflammation. A selection of therapeutic herbs, including plai, ginger, kaffir lime, turmeric and lemongrass, are wrapped in a muslin compress, steamed and then applied to the body in gentle pressing, circular and rolling movements.

The hot compresses are ideal for alleviating pain, stiff, sore or pulled muscles and ligaments, chronic back aches, arthritis, even skin conditions, migraines and chronic stress or anxiety.

CAREER FAIR BY NORTH WEST CDC




The event on 2 Nov @ Marsiling Drive was graced By Minister of Health Khaw Boon Wan. It offers organisations a creative avenue to heighten their branding awareness and profile their respective industry to an extensive pool of job seekers, students and skill upgraders.

Career exhibition organised by North West CDC has become our bi-yearly fixture. Kudos to team members of North West Community Development Council (NWCDC) for the job well done!
