Certificate In Chair Massage - Helps Desk Bound Personnel (15 Dec 2007)




Have you encountered Stiff neck, Aching Wrists, Tense Shoulders that feel as if someone folded them up. Anyone who has ever sat behind a desk all day will recognize the symptoms of workplace fatigue.

Our next Workshop on Chair Massage would help addressed the most office-related physical symptoms that can be attributed to lack of blood circulation, tight muscles caused by stress and sitting behind a desk all day, especially at a work station that is not ergonomically designed. Chair massage will helps counter the circulatory problems inherent with office work and provide an appreciated break for employees.

Training is conducted on domestic chair and massage techniques will be imparted on how to open up the back muscles relieves strain on the neck and provides a gentle respite for eyes usually glued to a computer monitor. You will also learn how to massage the neck, back, arms and hands which helps increase circulation, returning energy levels and helping keep the body injury free.

Participants learn to identify a selection of therapeutic raw herbs/plants, make and “personalised” their Herbal Ball, practice massage pressure points techniques and the Finale..... Enjoy a Head and Shoulder Massage with Herbal Ball Application.

TOUCH THERAPY FOR BABY BY BRYAN LAOSHI AND PENNY CHEW

This Health Giving workshop is specially organised in collaboration with Del-Care Edu Centre so that dads, mums, grandparents and child care centre professionals have a chance to learn the important skill of Baby Massage and Tui-na, as well as understanding how to overcome stress through Aroma and Music Therapy.

Bryan Gan, our Associate Consultant delievered a 2-hour briefing on Adopting Touch, Aroma & Music Therapy to enhance child immune system. He also shared several beauty and health tips with our participants and response from them was very favourable. Some even come prepared with "i" Weekly to obtain Bryan's Autograph!!


Our participants will continue with another 7-hour of training on Therapeutic Tuina with our Visiting Consultant, a Licenced TCM Physician on 24 Nov. Will keep with posted with more photos.

Its All Happiness at our School this morning with 12 Beauticians graduating from their 30-hour Certificate In Bridal Make-Up (Beauty Studies). They transformed the School into a Bridal Studio, conscientiously applying their best skills set in making their "bride" the "Most Outstanding and Prettiest Bride of The Day"!

Workshop On Treating Pain & Aches Through Pressure Points & Herbal Ball Compress Therapy

The Healing Practice of Thai Herbal Ball Compress Therapy dates back nearly 5,000 years, to an era when the knowledge of plants, including their effects through ingestion or application on the body, were painstakingly researched and then passed down from one generation to the next.

This herbal therapy was designed to relieve pain and inflammation. A selection of therapeutic herbs, including plai, ginger, turmeric and lemongrass, are wrapped in a muslin compress, steamed and then applied to the body in gentle pressing, circular and rolling movements.

The hot compresses are ideal for alleviating pain, stiff, sore or pulled muscles and ligaments, chronic back aches, arthritis, even skin conditions, migraines and chronic stress or anxiety.

Participants will learn hands-on techniques to relieve tension, fatigue, stimulate blood circulation, and restore vitality in the entire body through basic massage pressure points and herbal ball application.

We will be launching a 5-hr Workshop and a 12-hr Certificate Course In Infant and Child Massage/Tuina on 10 Nov and 24 Nov 2007. Our partner for the course is Del-Care Edu Centre.

Facilitators are Bryan Gan, Certified Aroma Therapist and Public Speaker for Radio & Media, Licensed TCM Physician and Acupuncturist graduated from Singapore Chinese Medical College and Penny Chew, Qualified BodyWorks Therapist and experienced Baby Massage Trainer.
